EAS is the feature that allows Smartermail to sync calendars to mobile devices. You will need this feature enabled on your account before the following instructions will work for you. Please reach out to Saltech to enable this feature or for assistance setting this up.
First, download the Microsoft Outlook app from the app store on your phone. When you open the app for the first time, you should see the page below, click "Add Account".
On the next page, enter your email address and then click "Add Account"
On the next page, click on "Not IMAP" in the top right hand corner
In the menu that comes up, click on "Change Account Provider"
On the next page, select "Exchange" as the account provider
On the account set up page, fill out the following information and then click Sign In.
Email address: Your email address
Password: Your email password OR app password, if your organization requires 2FA/MFA, see the step below to retrieve your app password. If you do not know your password, contact Saltech for support.
Description: Anything, we typically use "Work Email"
Server: mail.saltechsystems.com
Domain: The part of your email address after the @ sign (i.e. itsupport@saltech.com would use saltech.com)
Username: The part of your email address before the @ sign (i.e. itsupport@saltech.com would use itsupport)
If you receive an error trying to use the steps above, your company likely requires users to use MFA. We will use an app password for your phone, which combines the regular password and MFA into a random password.
Log in to your email at mail.saltechsystems.com, then click "Settings" -> "Settings" at the top menu. Scroll down to the EAS option and click the eye icon on the right of that. The random password that it shows will be what you use for the password field on your phone.
